My son Gaurav is an internet prodigy, I m not saying so because he is my son but my management, colleagues and relatives say so. With no history of entrepreneurship in family, he is the one who started own internet company at an early age of 14 which is really commendable. Its his shear talent, passion and interest in Internet and marketing which got him into numerous national newspapers in the form of appreciation and interviews.

When he left his high paying job at Investment bank, none from family or friend circle had any doubt or problem with his decision because we know he his god gifted and its god's will.

I am really proud of my son and would love to see him to make to top position in WCI as he has worked really hard and will give all his into your internship. I can bet that he is better than the best and will amaze you with his sharp brain, ideas and witty nature as he has amazed us for last 8 years through his online endeavors and success in the field of internet.

Make Your Child Responsible...!!!

Today, during parent-teacher meet i was truly perturbed to see the approach of some parents. Students who got wonderful marks... they thanked the school.... thanked the teachers for the wonderful care, concern and compassionate teaching by the teachers..... but the students who got less marks.... they had all reasons to blame the school, for indiscipline in the class... faulty teaching...etc Such parents never turn up when they called to come and take a note of their wards indiscipline and careless attitude towards teaching... they waited for six months and when the report card was personally handed over to them.... their ward had ready made excuse blaming the teacher for indiscipline and faulty teaching and what not... What a thankless job we teachers do.... !!!

Why students are so pampered... what they get... nothing only a false promise from their parents that they will come to their rescue when they are pointed out for any reason.... such students make their own life hell.... in later years and school's life hell time they are in the school. Parents .... wake up ... question your ward ... make him responsible for poor marks... question him... why he is telling all non-sense now when report card is handed over to them.... why didn't he tell earlier...!!! Your child gets around 10 hours time to invest in studies and other hobbies after coming from school... till he goes to bed.

Do you monitor his 10 hours' schedule at home... do you ask him daily... what happened in the school.... or wait for the report card to put blame on the poor teacher for obtaining poor marks.... We Indians....dirty Indians... will never appreciate one's hard work... we selfish Indians.... we .....#*#*#*

Invest time not money on your kids...!!!

Most of the parents display their wealth through their kids.... as if they are their hired models to display their outfits in a fashion parade...!!! Your kids are not showpieces to showcase your wealth.... If God is generous on you... Respect Ma Laxmi. Let your kids realise the worth of labour... the worth of knowledge... the worth of hard work with which money is earned... Strive to build their character and not their reputation... Reputation is what others talk about you...Character is what you think about yourself...!!! You know better...what your are... and your fantasies and........your perversions... if any ...?...forget all.... invest quality time with kids.

Your child wants your company....so... play with him/her... come early from your work exclusively for your kids... go for outing with your kids.... converse with them that your kids matter the most... let them feel that papa and mama are our best friends... Keep a watch on your wards' company... the tuition and outings are the two dens where your child can get infected from the virus of all adult stuff in their unripe age... protect your kids with your constant care, concern and unconditional love and constant supervision wherever he/she goes... meets friends... get involved... Most of the children have their own secret world to live in.... sometimes they go too far that it becomes difficult for them to return.... Let this moment doesn't come.. God bless our kids.

Parental Supervision Is Must......?

A school going child sleeps for 7 hours. He remains in school for 7 hours. Left with 10 hours.... These 10 hours play a crucial role in his life. In these 10 hours, he can make or break his life and career...... !
The school provides a restricted and controlled environment in which a student is constantly supervised and checked by his teachers and other classmates. It is at home where he gets unrestricted and uncontrolled freedom. It depends on Parents how much they have blind faith on their wards.
Generally, students are caught in school telling lie, stealing, bullying, speaking non-sense in front of girl students. They don't hesitate to bunk out of classes and school. As they don't fear from teachers. Today, corporal punishment is banned. In the name of corporal punishment, teachers hesitate even to touch a student. Parents attitude towards teachers is also damaging..... teachers are not allowed even to use harsh words..... Resultant.... students are becoming more and more undisciplined and aggressive.... they want their demands are fulfilled instantly.... they are unable to control their desires.... they can go to any extreme. Parents have started fearing from the own wards......!!!
Now, under such conditions, Parents have to come forward to control their off springs....
In my school, i found students bunking out and assembling in a house to watch vulgar movies and return home when the school is off. They were caught and suspended. Parents came to their rescue..... Students copy and caught.... parents come to their rescue. Students use filthy and obscene remarks to girls .... they are suspended.... but parents come to their rescue.... students are caught for rash driving... parents come to their rescue. Students are caught bringing cell phone to school, they are suspended.... parents come to rescue them. Now latest.... students are caught indulging in cyber crimes.... parents are there to protect them....

Spare your time to supervise your kids. Once you empower your child to use technology i.e. cell phone,computer/net, TV/video etc. you must ensure that this technology is not misused. Supervise the use of cell phone.... read the contents of sms.... get details of frequency of numbers dialled or received and the duration of cell phone use...... If you have provided computer with net, learn/know how to use/find out the contents of chatting/email etc. Keep a watch whether in the name of making projects.... you child may be watching porn sites simultaneously with 'so-called projects'.... and what about your child's company.... someone has rightly said ' if you want to know a person, look at his company' it is true with your child also. See his friends, their upbringing, their conduct and behaviour.... Go near the tuition centre where you child is also there.... hide somewhere.... watch out his conduct with his other friends..... You will come to know the real picture. GOOD LUCK ....!!!

A Man called Parent .....!!!

Today, in the morning, in my school, some tiny-tots were having adventure camp in side the school campus. A man came riding on motor-bike, behind him came the watchman, complaining about the man that he enforced his way to enter the school with his motorcycle.... On questioning, he didn't hesitate to argue even with the Head of the school. On requesting and asking firmly to take the bike out.... he felt defeated... blood in his eyes... he disappeared from the scene amid the tiny-tots...

Later the Head called his small kid, asking "beta... are rules and regulations , only for kids.... and not for elders ??? the innocent kid replied, "No sir, its for everybody". The head , disclosed that his father had broken the rules and brought his bike in the school. The kid said," Sorry sir, i will ask my father not to repeat such things". The matter over...... No..no...its not yet over !!!

He, the man, called 'parent' phoned one of the teachers only to inform that he will lodge FIR against the school...........!!!!!!!..........????????

Dear Parents, today teaching profession has become a THANKLESS profession, due to such attitude of the society. EGO..... yes...... its false EGO of a man which is degrading the values among our children. Just think..... if parents nourish such false ego... then how the teachers and the school will inculcate, positive and healthy attitude among children.

Later, the head came to know that the man called 'parent' is a teacher in some local school or college !!!

Parents seem to be henpecked in the hands of tiny-tots...!!! Today, just after unit tests, around 22 students were escorted by their parents to homes .... giving reason..."urgent piece of work"

Why do parents encourage their kids to go off the school on one excuse or the other.... it is a bad habit in making.... such students.... in future.... never even think of becoming leaders or shouldering any responsibility in life. They will never excel , never....neither in sports nor in studies.... because.... they have acquired a wrong habit, a practice to skip from the school with the convenience of their parents !!!

Students from even junior classes go home, escorted by the parents to attend to "urgent piece of work". Ask them what is there so urgent than the regular study in the class !!! Such practices promote the market of private tuitions ...

I appeal to the parents, let your kids be highly regular to the school and the studies. Discourage forcefully and don't submit to their tantrums or silly excuses.... I feel pity for parents .... i feel pity for the students ....seeing them sealing their career and future.... with such excuses !!!

Like the gays and lesbians, poor performers in schools are having a lot to celebrate !!!! No body can fail them in school... what they claim to the depressed parents .... with all cheers !!! It is the dark chapter in the history of Indian Education System. On one side, we feel proud of our intelligent and sharp witted students who toil day and night to join prestigious colleges in India and abroad to rule the world.... on the other hand , we have the stuff.... who wish to get 'pass' without being eligible to get 'pass'.
Being head of an esteemed school where 99% students are first class - first, there still exist 01% stuff who have their own version and reason to celebrate. Though, i have done my duty, conveying that such students who want to get 'pass' without being 'pass' are going to open cycle repair shops or cell-phone charging/repair shops !!!! They will never aspire to be more than that. My dear Sibaal Saab if you can't convert donkeys into horses.... don't try to convert horses into donkeys...!!! much more .... next time... an appeal .... to all my intelligent students... sky is your limit.... chase your dreams, looking up in the sky...!!!

Reducing Stress among Children

Stress among children and adolescents has to be nipped in the bud, before it leads to further complications. Parents' and teachers' role is imminent in understanding child's needs and capabilities.
It is generally seen that the students suffer from depression, stress and mental agony during exams and in general-which further leads to 'psychosomatic disorder' or 'physical disorders'. All this happens because the society, parents and the peer groups put fear into the minds of students to come our with flying colours.
The student is thus rated according to marks he/she scores in the exams and there is no focus on development of the personality. As a result many students suffer from a poor self-image. Another issue i. relations of students with opposite sex which is not accepted by parents further leeds to depression or aggressive behaviour in them.
The problem is aggravated further as parents make children rely on them wholly, rather than letting them take their own decisions.
Let the students vent to their feelings. Counseling of parents and children is must alike. Parents usually are very conservative, they want their children to tread the beaten track !!! They do not allow their children to go for unconventional careers, even if they have an aptitude for it. Career decision should be sorted out at the Class IX/X level it self...... more in my next post.

Re-setting Goals for better career

In the fast moving world, everyone wants to choose a career in which one gets maximum money, name and fame !!! In doing so, most of the parents and theirs wards forget to assess their strengths and weaknesses.... They ignore their aptitude, interest, capacity to understand and grasp the subjects..... and opt a stream in Class XI.... to get hopeless outcome in the forthcoming tests/exams !!!
Most of the students think, taking up private tuitions and booking seats with dream merchants like many Coaching institutes, they will reserve their seats in the prestigious Engg or medical colleges... only to face delusion in the end.
In most of the cases, when some students find it difficult to cope up with Physics, Chemistry or Math/Bio they are advised to think of other options. Some adhere to my advice but some take it as their prestige issue, they keep dragging with poor marks, ultimately get fail in Class XI.
Take my case, after passing Matriculation with humble 2nd Class from State Board, i fancied to take up Science stream, i worked hard but failed, i took Science stream, i worked hard but failed. I was fully convinced that Science is not my line (.....this happened when i was not guided....30 years back...!!!) Then i took up the .... bloody ....easiest subjects.... out of resentment.i.e. History...Pol Sc... English and Hindi. I did my post graduation in English literature from B'lore University and Public Admin from Ajmer University, got my B.Ed done, left my M.Phil and M.Ed to join Air Force in education branch. After 15 years of commendable service, looking after Air Force Schools, i gave resign to join private schools as Principals. Now, i have been the head of a leading school for the last 10 years, enjoying maximum, giving full time to my profession.
When you come to know this is my liking, i like this kind of a job. Pursue in that line. Today, there are more than 4000 options, open to young students. So chase delusions. Chase the realistic goals......Still it not too late..... review your choice, think of the nature of profession your heart has aspired for... ask your heart... follow your heart. Good Luck !!!

What's the logic of closing of educational institutions on account of some politician's death. Ask any educated indian what they say about the dirty politicians !!! They hate and spit on politicians. Then why schools and colleges to be closed. And lo !!! the cheap local newspapers give details of the schools where normal teaching-learning went on. What crime have they committed.

What about the wine shops and gambling dens - all open !!! Only allergy to schools and colleges. Next comes Shaheedi Divias and 100 other Divas, crafted by brainless baboos and politicians. Why are you after schools and colleges. Let children study. What will they do when holiday is forced on schools and colleges.

Either, they will sleep nicely or they will go out with friends and like stray dogs, chase and tease girls or they will chat at home or in cafe or they will open porn site and pass the whole day or ......... It is far better if they are in their educational institutions.

For God's sake, have mercy on educated people. We know, how much U people are hypocrates and selfish. We know what you do for public and for your own self. We know .......Let there be letcures/debates/quizes etc on someone's death or Shaheedi divas, instead forcibly closing educational institutions. It is another example of mental sickness of indians in POWER. Shamful indeed.

May we, the common people be saved from the corrupt and brainless indians !!! Ameen

For students who haven't scored up to the expectations in Class 12th Board exams

Last week , class 12th results were declared by CBSE and by other education boards also. And it wont put me to any surprise that many of you got less than expectations. And now all those who scored less than expected must be feeling low,dejected and defeated.

So frankly if you ask us ,as in the team of Gauadmission consisting of students of IITs, NITs and BITs,then believe us Class 12th marks does not matter at all in your coming future. If you have scored less marks in 12th then it doesn't mean you will not be successful in life/future. It doesn't mean you are any less than those who have scored big time high percentage in 12th class board exams.To shape your career and personality, its you as an individual matters not the grade sheet of your class 12th board exams. Plus this exam is not the last exam of your life. There are so many exams you have to face in your coming 4 years of engineering. So just relax, deviate your mind from the result and concentrate either on the left over Engineering

Do Class 12th Marks/Percentage matter to you?

entrance / Medical exams or if you are free now then better make most of your time by developing hobbies, good habits and discovering and polishing your talent.

I would also like to address respected parents whose kids have not scored well in these 12 class board exams. Please do not yell at them or criticize them or compare them with others with higher marks. It is the time for you to act as a mature human being and to understand what you kid expects from you. A dejected kid is looking for encouragement. So its time to help your kid realize his/her potential, to help your kid in setting career goals, to help your kid in discovering his talents and encouraging him/her to excel in it. Your right steps this time will act as stepping stone for your kids success in life both in personal and professional domain.

I know its easier said than done but you will have to believe us what we are saying because we are 4 years senior to you and have gone through whatever phase you going through .So dear juniors be happy and just relax. Heyo Junior Fellas and their parents and my ex-school teachers(hope they also read this blog)

Firstly I am really glad to see the response this blog is getting and would like to see more and more students/parents and teachers take part in the discussions on this blog.

Anyways coming to the heading of the post, Inculcate Urge to Learn : Compete with Yourself , I am hereby suggesting you this because I have followed this and have seen the awesome results over the past 3-4 years. So to start with, Why to inculcate this urge of learning? Is it necessary even if I am among top 5 rankers in my class?Or is it possible if I am really bad in studies? - The Answer is a loud Yes. Marks,Grades,Percentage are just a part of education and you will be called as an educated fellow only if you are learned about life skills. Its how you tackle problems in your life or what you innovate in your life gonna decide how successful you will be in your life.Knowing Bernoulli's equation or solving integration or other complex problems is ok in their own place but everyone who passes an exam know that....Its time to figure out what you know exclusively..That one thing in which no one can beat you...That one thing in which you can represent your country and win an Olympic gold medal in it.It may be designing, singing, blogging, web-designing, programming or any other constructive activity but close to your heart , chosen with interest and passion.
Invest some time in thinking, think about your likings, think about your purpose of living this beautiful human life on earth,think of to what maximum extent you can use your brain to come-up with something extraordinary. The simple one line funda is that : Just challenge yourself, wake-up everyday with a mission to defeat or better the 'Yesterday's You'..... Be a realistic dreamer.Set some long term goals in life. If you want to create a robot, learn it. Use internet to gain knowledge, take part in communities which match with your interest.There are yahoo groups or google groups or forums or Wikipedia where you can satisfy all your hunger for any dammn thing under the sun.

You must be enjoying your break time with a lot of TV viewing and cricket in your school playgrounds. I wish your parents should ask you to set you resolutions for the coming new academic session. It is not only good marks you are expected to get but also a lot many other good things - such as new hobbies, new good habits, new skills etc. Those introverts must come out of home to play in school playfields. Extroverts to inculcate reading habits - shun the pollutor and curroptor TV - I hate TV and TV serials. These are corrupting and polluting the indian masses - young and old. All nuisance. Now even news chennels are corrupted with nuisance and baseless repetitions of programmes based of crime, adultry and sex. Wah !!! re mere bharat varsh. Ultimately Exams are over.....Relax...Relax...Let your child de-stress for a couple of days...Don't hurry to buy new books for the next session. Please... Have mercy on my student !!! Results will be on 6th April. Let your child play, dance, paint and even try his/her hand in writing short stories or diary !!! Never be idle. Don't go for marathan sleeps. No...Not at all. To begin with start with English comprehension or reading poetry, reading inspirational books say Robin Sharma's best books or books by S Martin.

Allow Kids Create Their Own Careers !!!!

Parents who could not fulfill their dreams try to fulfill through their children. It has been widely noticed during my 20 years in teaching career. In most of the cases, it is the parents who go against the interests and wishes of their timid and submissive children and dictate their own terms.The Parents must ask their children their interest, aptitude and capabilities to grasp and understand the subjects. Parents know well the strength and capabilities of their wards. Parents know well the likes and dislikes of their wards in particular subjects.

If the same subjects are opted in higher classes. It serves as suicidal act if parents goad them. It is generally seen that an average student opts medical or non-medical streams, ignoring the facts that they did not do well in the 10th class examinations. Despite, the parents want to see their wards as top class doctors and engineers in reputed places. They float in their whimsical world and throw their children the ditch of stress and depression. Hundreds and thousands of students keep making rounds of tuition masters, to save one academic year. You forget about cracking PMT/IIT/AIEEE etc. Seek profession assistance from Counselors and save your child from unnecessary depression, anxiety and stress. Let they create their own career. Make or Break Ur Career !!!!

My dear students,
Summer breaks are over and the new academic session has begun. It has been around more than 50 days since you opted a stream decided by you, yourself or by your parents or peer pressure.
By now, you must have come to know your liking for the subjects , you like or not.

Generally, most of the students do not meditate on the interests, aptitudes and likings. They exactly don't know which stream , they have to opt and for what purpose. In most of the cases, the parents get worried about and decide, asking their business partners or office colleagues. And these so-called untrained and unqualified advisers take fancy to give their valueless advices without any hesitation.

For heaven sake, review you liking for the subjects. Review your performance in subjects for the last 2-3 years. If you were scared of Mathematics in 9th and 10th standards and got just passing marks in Board exams. For God's sake don't take a stream having maths. Because the competition ahead is toughest. You would be a total failure and stand no where as for good colleges are concerned. Better listen to your heart and choose subject which you enjoy learning and grasping. GOOD LUCK

IIT JEE 2008 Cut-off [Expected]

As everybody would have heard by now that IITJEE 2008 papers are difficult as compared to IITJEE 2007 papers.

Especially the mathematics papers were tricky and definitely less scoring than last year’s papers. I would say 25-30% high on difficulty as compared to JEE 2007 papers. Chemistry was also bit difficult this year, say 10% difficult.

Physics paper-I was easier than last year’s papers but paper - II was definitely little tougher. So overall degree of difficulty of Physics papers in IITJEE 2008 would remain same as it was in IITJEE 2007.

Overall performance level will go down this year.

Based on our experience and data calculations, we speculate the following data.

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

There were 35 questions in each subject. So total of 105 questions were asked. Each question carries 3 marks. So score would be given out of 315 marks.

Last year in AIEEE 2007, there were 40 questions in each subject. Each question carried 3 marks. So score was given out of 360 marks.

Exams are little difficult this year due to Assertion and Reasoning type of questions introduced for the first time in AIEEE exams. Certainly it is difficult to score in AR type of questions.

But overall degree of difficulty would more or less be same as compared to last year. This is because students were expected to solve 105 questions as compared to 120 questions in AIEEE 2007.

So, overall performance level will remain same this year.

The biggest Internet danger facing children today is denial of access. The Internet is a portal to a limitless world of imagination, art, culture and technology, which children need to succeed in the modern world. That said, it also needs to be understood that children are particularly vulnerable to Internet dangers, and some precautions need to be taken when your children are online.

The most important step you can take to protect your children online is to sit down and talk to them about Internet safety. Children need to understand that Internet safety is not about limiting their behavior, but about protecting them from inappropriate content. There are numerous Web sites that encourage criminal activity, pornography, drug use or hate, or are simply filled with misinformation. Even young children will understand this. Print out an Internet Use Contract and post it above the computer to remind them (and you) of what is acceptable. You can find printable contracts at www.safekids.com .

The next step to protecting your children is to place the computer they will be using in a family area. Don't allow your children to have Internet access in their bedrooms. There is no reason for any child to have unlimited access to the Internet, and older kids are more likely to get in trouble if they are allowed to shut their door and surf the Web in private. By putting the computer out in the open, you can keep an eye on what your children are doing online.

Always set up your child's e-mail account for them, regardless of their age. The reason for this is so that you can prevent any sensitive information from being sent over the Internet. Never include your child's full name, address, age or any other identifying information in their e-mail address. If you are forced to enter a last name, simply put a dot in the field or make one up. Don't use a date as part of the address—birth dates or graduation years can be used by predators to determine your child's true age. Use an anonymous e-mail account for your child, such as a Yahoo! account. Enable the spam blocker, and set it to automatically delete these messages. Use the Block Senders feature for any unwanted e-mails that make it to the inbox. Make sure you know your child's e-mail password and periodically check their inbox and Sent Items folder to make sure they are not corresponding with anyone dangerous.

Direct your child to "child-friendly" search engines such as Yahoo! Kids or KidsClick . If you let your child use a traditional search engine, such as Google , be sure to turn on the search filter. Google can be set to filter out explicit text and images by going to its Preferences section and setting the Safesearch Filtering level.

Lastly, make sure you are aware of any computer access your child may have outside of the home, and what security measures are available in those areas. For example, children commonly have computer access at school, the library and their friends' homes. Check with your child's school and the public library to find out what security measures are in place. Talk to the parents of your child's friends. Make sure they are aware of the rules you have for your child.

The answer is quite simple, AIEEE is a quite extensively made paper that covers each and every chapter given in its Boucher [The booklet you get along with your AIEEE form]
Normally 2-6 questions are asked from each topic so what is normally suggested is to atleast go through all the chapters mentioned in syllabus given by AIEEE.

Ok...regarding Important topics.....Normally a score of 50-60% of total can get you a seat in NITs but for top notch branches and NITs you should look to score 70% or more.
In Chemistry: Chemical and Ionic Equilibrium ,Surface Chemistry ,Organic name reactions[around 18 are there] then in inorganic analytical chemistry normally cover 30% of paper

Mathematics: If your Section B i.e Vectors and 3 -D is good along with Integration and Functions/Limits/Relations and Co-ordinates part is good then you will easily score around 50-60% in mathematics

Physics: Doing Magnetic or Electrostatics or Gravitation is one and the same thing because concepts involved are nearly the same,then Optics and Mechanics and Modern Physics will fetch you 40-50% in Physics.

Countdown to Entrance Exams

I gave my entrance exams 2 years back ,did fairly well in all exams and now I am doing Engineering at NIT Warangal[Some magazines rank it as top ten or just next to IITs in India...good for me!!]
So i am here by sharing some of the tips and do's and don'ts with you...hope they will help you in improving your ranks....!!

Get ready or mentally prepared for serious mental grueling for next couple of months or so...
Practice,practice and practice...in each sitting try to do 75-100 objective questions and that too unique ones...this will help you in building all so important thing required to shine in exams i.e. TEMPERAMENT ....that is learn how to keep your koool in tough situation and compare your self with a chef's knife which work really well only when rubbed against the wall or ground very harshly...getting my point.....the crux is that get that sharp edge to lead the race
I never tried this but you must try: Better do meditation or listen music than to switching to any visual media....any sort of visual media whether it is TV or Computer[if you are reading this then please read this then please finish off with this article,log out from your gtalk or orkut or yahoo messenger....and get back to studies]
Each day can help you get a lead of 1000 ranks.....each productive hour can fetch you some 100 ranks lead so better start saving your time and invest in acquiring some lead......Listen you have to keep revising these points in your mind for next couple of months
Study must be balance: P C M keep the balance......try out sample papers with different strategies like start with physics or mathematics and see which methodology works the best for you
Be happy in tiring yourself from studies

It was 31March' 08, the end of another academic session. I planned to address my staff and extend my thanks for their hardwork, teamspirit and devotion towards their duties and responsiblities. 'HOTS' by CBSE was an unexpected and sudden shock to most of the students in various school nationwide. I called upon the teachers to keep abreast the latest changes and update their notes.
I urged them to devise and develop better teaching methods to induce learning. It is utmost necessary that a teacher prepares her/his lessons at home, rehearse and come prepared in the class. Without mastery over the subject and teaching methods, a teacher cann't enjoy self-esteem.
In the end , I asked my teachers in grow spiritually, socially and emotionally. As we deal with kids from different social backgrounds. We should give a protective and compassionate environment where a child tends to grow emotionally, socially and spiritually. I appealed to my staff to read inspirational books and enrich their lives and the lives of the students who come in their contact.
I am shocked to read in newspapers how some teachers mercilessly beat up innocent children. Please don't join this noble profession, if you have no compassion for kids. Don't kill the innocence. Hi friends read this one carefully, its nice and very touchy...

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his
5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.

SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.

SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour."

SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.. Here's the Rs.50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.

"Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Aspiring students - the countdown has begun
I am sure you have completed you entire syllabus long back and must have completed revision for your Pre-board exams starting within a day or two. The date sheet for Class XII has already been published in the leading newspapers. Let me give u some tips for Entrance Exams.

In fact, Engineering Entrance Exams test your analytical skills. So you must inculcate the habit of reasoning and finding solutions to be the ultimate winner.

The IIT/JEE : there is a difference between your preparations for CBSE exams and IIT/JEE. Here what matter most is not the quantum of books one has grasped or gone through. But the no. of correct answers, he gets. Students must change their mind sets while appearing for IIT/JEE.Here you have to clear the section cut off of the subject.Trends in the last 2 years show that the section cut off for Physic, Chemistry and Maths stands at 30, 35 and 25 percent. If a student gets this percentage of the questions correct, they have all chances to get a seat.

Never give priority to any section during preparation. While Maths, physic and Chemistry stnd in the hierarchy of difficulty.Students must not ignore chemistry. It may seem boring nd but it is a rewarding section.

My dear students,

Winter Break is over. Nothing is to worry......next week Sunday is coming....another holiday.
Now it is the time to say 'utho-jago-aur apne lakshya ke aor lag jao'.You have got enough time to enjoy fun and frolik. Annual exams are from third week of Feb'08. The count-down has begun. It is the time to devote completely on you revision and concept clearing. No more TV/Computer, no time wasting on chit chatting on phone with your friends and no more idling.

Divide the syllabus of all subjects in 3-4 sections. Ist section, the easy most chapters you know by heart. 2nd section, you have to do a little bit writing practive and the last section where you need the help of your subject teacher to clear your doubts and concepts. Don't hesitate to go to your teacher. Request your teacher to clear your concepts even after school hours. I have been talking to you in the Morning Assemblies to invest your time and energies to acquire knowledge and sharpen your skills. Set small objectives and targets and chase them to fulfill.

Cleanliness is Must..Dear Kids...Remember that

Day before, I attended the morning assembly and addressed the students and the staff. The issue was cleanliness. In fact, the previous day the school sweeper in charge came to me after the school hours to plead that a lot many students spoil the classrooms and corridors with foil papers and eatables. He questioned me whether their parents never teach them the value of cleanliness at home.

In my address to them I highlighted the issue and quoted the remark given by the sweeper. I personally felt ashamed on behalf of the students. I asked students whether the person was right or wrong. On the occasion, I took a promise from the students to behave like a mature and sensible person and keep up their self esteem. When we do something wrong, our parents get bad name. So we should not let down our parents. It is rightly said that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Next day, there was a tremendous improvement. The corridors and classrooms were clean having no sign of any foil paper or paper balls in the campus. The school sweeper came to me as an effective source of inspiration for my students.

Two Wristwatches incident

Last week, our school sweeper while sweeping the classrooms brought two wrist watches and handed over to me. Next day, it was announced in the Morning Assembly that the student who has lost his/her wrist watch should come to my office after the recess.

3-4 students from junior classes came to my office. After giving a glance over the little watches said,"Sir, none is mine."Aur dikhao. I was shocked to hear them. I said, Bhago yahan se, ye koi chor bazar hai. I stopped them and asked them to pick one or two from that lot. They went away smilingly.

Hardly two months are left to begin with Annual exams. I would like to talk to junior kids who have the privilege to have least minimum syllabus for the Annual/Third Term Exams.

Confirm the syllabus for the term-III exam for each subject and write it down on a double page paper sheet.
Divide the whole sheet in 6-7 columns as the required subjects and write down the subject at the top of the column.
Put down the name of the chapters sequence wise so that you have a view of the entire syllabus in front of your eyes.
Most of the chapters must be easy to learn when we sit for self study. Put green tick i.e. these chapters need only revision.
Put red tick where you want a revision once more by the teacher to clear your concept in the class in case at home you mom is not in a position to clear your doubts.
Get the doubts cleared in the school. When you sit for self study, keeping marking tick with a pencil that this chapter is over. You must do writing practice. Novel reading will not serve the purpose. Understand the chapter by reading the notes or your text books and then a little bit writing key points or definitions etc.
You must give weight age to all subjects. When you have the complete syllabus in front of your eyes, you come to know in which subject, I am not preparing.
Generally we and out parents give more emphasis on Maths, Science and English. And Hindi, SSt and other subjects are given least importance, thus bringing down the percentage and the rank in the class.
Viewing the entire syllabus at a glance and viewing green/red ticks along with pencil ticks indicate how much syllabus is covered subject-wise. How much is left. What are the complex chapters to give more stress etc.
HARD WORK AND SMART WORK IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS. IT IS NEVER TO LATE TO BEGIN WITH. STILL TIME IS THERE TO REAP THE TOP SCORE.

My school`s Annual Cultural Fiesta

Its over....its over....and it was a great success. Yes, it went very well. Well staged, well planned and superbly executed. Yes , I am talking about my school annual day which was held on 10 December 2007 in the school playground, surrounded by colorful pandal and well decorated by the laborious staff and students.

I was much tense since the day and date was decided. Annual day means, a lot of activities and a lot of responsibilities to be shared and delegated. Since my childhood, I am very much interested in dance, drama and music. After finalizing the menu for the programmwe, audition and trials were taken to pick talented students. 10 days rehearsals and practices went on after the schools hours. The teachers and the students worked hard and presented the show wonderfully. I feel proud of my staff and students for presenting the cultural show with grace and perfection.

It was the show of team spirit and perfection. Next day of declared holiday. Today, in the assembly, I thanked the entire school and talked on the importance of Team spirit and brotherhood needed among students and staff. Annual day success was a live example . All students irrespective of their temperament and traits worked together, taking steps on the beat of music. Everyone assisted and extended hand of cooperation to see their dance group be adjusted no.1 Thank God .......its over.....its over successfully.

Better keep the computer at a central place at home to keep a watch on the contents, created and shared by your kids.

Pay attention to the ranks/comments given by a teacher in his/her school diary/note books.
Encourage your ward for self study and writing practice. Your ward must avoid excessive TV watching, Computer/Net surfing and friends circle.
Meet the class teacher immediately when the school is over to know his/her conduct and routine in school and make the school aware of his/her routine at home.
Ensure that your ward reaches school in time and in proper school uniform. Habitual late comers and dress defaulters are sent home.
Avoid part leave on petty grounds. It breaks the link of your ward in understanding the concepts taught in his/her absence.
Ensure your ward keeps his/her uniform and school bag tidy and ready for the next day.
Encourage your ward to be self-reliant. Do not be his/her servant to search his neck-tie, belt, note books etc. in the morning. Let him/her learn to stream line his/her own life, independently.

Successful AIEEE preparation

maths and chem is a bit lengthy, time management difficult

Ok so if you are reading this review seriously, then I assume you must be aiming at doing engineering.

Now there are 2 types of Engg. students: those who are making a serious attempt
for the IIT JEE and those who aren?t. so I guess that this should be your first decision, are u gonna give the JEE a serious attempt? If yes then AIEEE should be a piece of cake.

However if like me you have decided that IIT is not going to be ur cup of tea , then it wise to drop out of the rat race. Coz let?s face it, IIT is tough and about 6 months later if u r going to be frustrated about not being able to keep up with all the scholars in the class then u?ll end up hating the subjects and that is not what you want, do you? So make up your mind first!

Ok so now if u?ve decided that ur main aim is the aieee, there are two ways to meet your goal :

1) Study for the HSC exams (in maharashtra) and the local CET or whatever you have in your state first. The boards should get over a month or two before AIEEE. After the boards you should have covered something like 80% of the syllabi for maths and physics and around 65% for chemistry. If u?ve been studying for a CET as well that makes your job much easier. Then put ur head down and study for AIEEE. Join a one month crash course if possible and give lot of mock tests .

The good thing about this method is that you have a good backup if u don?t succeed in AIEEE. Also you will not lose track while studying for your HSC exams with the extra topics. On the far side though, I?m not sure whether everybody will be able to pick up the new topics in a couple of months.

2) The other way is to concentrate on AIEEE itself from the very beginning. So u will probably be covering all topics for HSC and CET as well and u have plenty of time to get used to the different format of AIEEE.
However many guys then find it tough to get used to writing long answers in HSC then. Also the syllabus for AIEEE is far more vast then the one for HSc so you might end up studying for stuff which you might not actually need. While your parents and teachers will tell u that ?it dosen?t hurt to study more? and ?don?t study for exams beta?, I beg to disagree. Especially for boards like the stupid HSC where they don?t like you to write anything out of portion this is not advisable.

BOOKS:
I have this great book called Newlight?s AIEEE writhen by three guys called Jaggi, Chopra and Garg. I don?t know why but most people don?t know about it. Apart from this as usual, ResnickHallidayWalker is great. But most important study the NCERT books for both 11th and 12th for all subjects. Good books and more importantly a lot of the questions tend to come from there.

Well so both these methods have their pros and cons, so it?s up to you to decide. Hope the review was helpful! Comments and suggestions are also welcome.

Everyone has their own unique way of studying and preparing for finals in College, but some methods are much more efficient than others. Unfortunately, an inefficient method of preparing for finals may be what keeps you from succeeding. Your finals are too important to mess up. Here are a few ways to stay on task and prepare yourself properly for the biggest exams of the year.
Prioritize
Study and complete the projects that will be worth more of your grade first. Make an ordered list of things to study and projects to complete based on time and importance. Without having some semblance of an agenda planned, it will become very easy for you to mismanage all of the study time that you have available to you. Know where you currently stand grade wise in your classes, so you know how well you will have to do on the final to get the grade you desire.
Don't Fall behind
If you are behind in required class readings, you will have a lot of reading to do come finals. Make sure you learn the material the first time it's taught, so you don't have to go back and review it. Sometimes, if you pay good attention in class, you can forgo some of the required reading.
Study Environment
You can accomplish much more quality study time in an academic like atmosphere than studying at home. Cut out all distractions while brainstorming to help maintain your train of thought. Eliminating noisy distractions and working during the day when you are more alert are also great ways to improve efficiency when studying.
Study Time
Be prepared for some seriously intensive study and plan for it accordingly. Study when it best suits you. Some people have more energy in the daytime, therefore study harder then, while others have higher efficiency during the late hours of the night. Find what works best for you and dedicate your more difficult tasks to these study times.
Office Hours
Show up at your professors office during office hours. Many professors office hours go unused by students, which is sad because they are such a great resource of information (they know what will be on the test). The professor will see your dedication and in doing so, it may even bump you up a grade.

Here are some more Study Tips:

* Study Aids - Use note cards, practice tests, tutors and teacher assistants as top study aids.

* Find a Study buddy - Pick out one of the smarter people in the class so you can team up and work together on upcoming tests and projects.

* Review Previous Tests - Go over previous tests throughout the quarter. Spend most of your time learning what you got wrong. You should also take the time to get to know the format of the final so that there are no opportunities for misunderstanding later.

* Cramming - Many say "cramming" is not the way to go, as you lose this information fast. If you do cram, it is recommended to do it within 24 hours of your final, so the content is fresh in your head. Review all of your material at least once through to deal with any and all unread materials. You should ensure that you understand all basic concepts before moving on to the next subject.

* All-Nighters - Many say try and maintain a "normal" sleeping schedule, however this is almost impossible. Yes, you will be pulling a couple of all-nighters, and you will be fine (maybe just a little worn out after finals week). Just remember to take short breaks in between tasks to give your brain a refresher.

* Caffeine - Perfect for the late night study sessions. Be sure to keep quantities of Red Bull and Mt. Dew on hand.

* Collaborate Notes - Use note collaboration tools (if available) to compare class notes with fellow peers.

All seriousness aside, if you don't know the the stuff on the final, "C" is not always the best answer. B is the new C.

It may be a rough week, but you'll be glad when it's over. There is a reason why they give you a nice long vacation break after finals...because finals can be grueling!.

In the world of competition, it is very necessary that a student must possess interest,aptitude and strength.Generally, it is seen that most of the students after appearing the CBSE exams, join science stream; either medical or non-medical. A few left over go to commerce stream. I personally take keen interest to see each students performance in the previous three years. In most cases, the students are influenced by the peer pressure or the present market trends. In some cases, the parents of the students dictates terms and wishes over their children and compell them to opt a stream in which they desire.

In all such cases, the result is destined to be dismayed due to lack of interest and atpitude of the learner. The learner must be motivated and inspired with a clearcut goal of life or career. These ill-motivated students commence the course of study to meet with dismaying results. After poor performance in first term exams, they are counselled to with work hard day and night or review their choice of opting a stream. In most of the cases, the parents come to the rescue of their wards, submitting undertakings and ensuring schools authorities that their wards will be regular and punctual to the school and studies.

It is generally seen that most of these students either waste one academic year or pass with marginal marks which has no meaning in the world of competition. My humble submission to the parents is that allow your kids to think and share with you their interests, aptitudes , hobbies and likings. Your child may be a good artist or singer or painter if given a chance to excel in the field of his choice.

India with booming with opportunities in all disciplines and fields. The need is to tap your hidden talents and qualities and cash them in the booming market. Today India is known by Ambanis and Mittals. Let our children grow naturally. Let they exploit their own potentials and qualities. Let them grow without any checks and barriers.

Hello students ! Today is Sunday and most of you might have got up from sleep not before 9 am. Only a few could have managed to get up at 5 or 6 in the morning. Do you think they are fools ??
In fact they are the true dreamers. Once I told you in the morning assembly that while sleeping everybody dreams but the real Dreams are those which donot allow us th sleep.........!

Now I shall be meeting you on my BLOG to meet you and your parents....!!!!!!!

My dear students, you know India is booming with lots of opportunities. Why don't you cash it?? It is a matter of a few years of devotion and dedication to your studies, sharpening your mind power and then cashing it up in the global market.

Let me talk to the students of class XII ...kkkk.... Your D-Day is announced. The dates for PMT/IIT/AIEEE have been announced. You must be gearing up to face CBSE exams starting in April followed by IIT entrance exam and then AIEEE. I know most of you after faring in the last paper of CBSE exam rushed to coaching institutions registering your names and enlisting you names with private tuitiors. While doing so most of the students and their parents thought that these dream merchants would handover a magic lamp which would fulfill their wishes. My dear students...these institutions if chosen the best one only give you guidance and tips, provided your basic knowledge is strong which you get from the school teachers. Most of the students feel overconfident thinking they will cover up all syllabus of CBSE with private tuitions and get competitive edge from coaching institutions. You may be correct....? But have you gone through the previous success rate of such students.....?

I have shared a lot in my individual counseling with the students of class XII and XI. Now the time has come to stop your outings and time wasting and unproductive activities. Your FEB-MAR will be over faring in CBSE exams . Now left with 12 days more to crack IIT Entrance Exam. Devote every single minute in preparing both the exams simultaneously.......IIT entrance exm is based of CBSE syllabus. Plan your day. Give due weightage to each subject. Self study is more important rather than spending time on private tuitions. There is no time left to prepare for exams. That`s why students miserably score poor marks in internal exams. Remember:::Your self study is much more important and necessary to better performance in CBSE exam as well as any Entrance Exam..........
